This blog is my way of sharing my interest in the world of cheese.
It’s about sharing some of the things I love, teaching you some of the things
that I’ve learned and occasionally showing off pictures of goats.
I’ve been obsessed with the yellow stuff for a long time now, but in
2011 I decided to get serious and left the UK to learn as much about cheese as
possible.
It wasn’t an easy ride, but things went well and I managed to find
work experience with renowned affineur Harvé Mons before being employed in
a highly respected cheese shop in the heart of Lyon’s high end Halles Paul
Bocuse (an important stop on the gastronomic tourist trail).
I learnt a lot about the French cheese industry and in 2013 won
the title of ‘Champion de France des Fromagers’ (French champion cheesemonger) in
the Concours National des Fromagers.
If you’d like to learn more about my journey, why not have a look
at my book?
I also love running cheese events, head over to the events page to
find details of upcoming activities.

Sat down yesterday and read The Cheese and I from cover to cover, loved it. Every success with the next one.
ReplyDeleteLast November we went for a few days to Lyons mainly to visit Les Halles. I was not the only one to find the displays photogenic , one cheese display included the outline of France and there were cheeses with Cathar crosses on them. It would have been easy to spend, spend, spend. How I wish I had read your book first.
